After the Marlborough Open Studios 2020 event was changed to an online exhibition it’s fantastic news that the decision has been taken this year to run it as conventional arts trail so that galleries and studios all around the Marlborough area will be open to visitors. Current COVID restrictions mean that only six people at a time can be admitted and face masks must be worn if the exhibition is indoors.

Alan Cowley, Steve Dixon and myself will be exhibiting our photographs at Alan’s wonderful gallery, The Photographers Studio in Roundway, Devizes during the first three weekend of July 2021. Picking up on the some of the ideas we had for the Elements exhibition that sadly fell victim to the global pandemic, we’re planning to do something a little different! We will also be hosting a little event in Alan’s beautiful gardens entitled “Fizz on the Lawn”. I’ll leave it to your imagine as to what that will be all about!

Unfortunately I will only be there in person for the opening weekend as I have a long planned trip to Scotland in July. But Alan and Steve will both be at the gallery for the the second and third weekends.

You can find out more about the exhibition, including directions to the gallery, on the Marlborough Open Studios website.

elements

Working with fellow photographers Alan Cowley and Steve Dixon we had planned to open our new exhibition entitled Elements at The Photographers Studio at Roundway, Devizes on 17 April. Sadly we have had to postpone this for an indeterminate period due to the very difficult times the world finds itself in at the moment. However, once some semblance of normality returns we are determined to make this exhibition an experience to remember. All I can say is that it will not be just a visual experience!

UPDATE : Sadly the COVID pandemic did for this exhibition. After so much planning and preparation the size of the gallery meant that we simply haven’t been able to run this exhibition safely. However, I’d rather think of the exhibition as having been postponed not cancelled.

36Salisbury

From 6 January to 20 January 2020 I was fortunate enough to be asked to exhibit my work at the fantastic new gallery at 36Salisbury, a new shop, cafe and art gallery in the heart of Salisbury.

beginnings

In 2019 I exhibited my work with two great photographers, Alan Cowley and Clive Carpenter at The Photographers Studio at Roundway, Devizes. The exhibition was entitled “Beginnings” to celebrate the launch of The Photographers Studio as a project. The exhibition opened with a private viewing at Easter and remained open until the end of June 2019.
