few people can resist the attraction of the sea. but to photograph it well is a challenge that I find difficult to meet. there are so many accomplished photographers who create simply breathtaking images of the sea that i find my work always leaves me feeling disappointed. sometimes i wish i lived closer to the sea. the sound of crashing waves during a storm or the gentle lapping of an incoming tide both have a wonderfully calming effect on my soul. maybe if i lived closer to the coast i’d get more practice and produce better results.
